Buzzy Buckets & Birdies
This was such a PLAYFUL event! Buzzy Buckets and Birdies with Cincy Girls Who at Shoreline Social. Read about the most challenging part of playing bucket golf, the most popular drink chosen on that hot day, and why - if you are curious about learning to play golf - it's not too early to start learning, and every little bit you learn adds up over time.
Some things to celebrate
Cassie’s birthday and she brought something to celebrate. I had a couple things to celebrate myself: received my winnings from closest to the pin contest last week and celebrating missing the green LONG. Not once but twice this round of 9 holes! And this never happens to me. Allow me to explain…
Exploring a new (to me) local course
I got to play a bonus 18 hole round of golf this weekend with friends at Glenview golf course, which I had never played before. Then I won closest to the pin in my weekly ladies league! Check out the rundown of events QCLL has coming up for August, September and October.
I got a new (golf) toy
I may have used the fake summer holiday of Prime Day as an excuse to purchase a golf gadget that I’ve wanted for a while. I bought a range finder and I’ll tell you how it went the first time I used it (spoiler: not reading the manual was probably not the best idea).
Hippie / 70s night
This week in my ladies golf league, I didn’t score quite as well as last week. However, putting was good for 7 out of 9 holes. Every drive was GREAT. I am still practicing what I learned about how to hit shots from uneven lies. Outfits were cute for 70’s/hippie night theme.
Full Swing, QCLL style
We had GORGEOUS weather for our Full Swing Clinic & 4-hole scramble at Meadow Links & Golf Academy. Instructors Matt Starr, Maddie Nichelson, and Scott Nevius helped us learn and build upon our skills, developing & improving our full swing capabilities with irons and woods.
Twinning, winning, and improving
Took 3rd place in our mid-season scramble and it paid out! Char and I coordinated outfits again for Twinning theme week. My game is improving a bit. I’m so excited for Friday’s full swing clinic coming up!
Red white & blue
Red white and blue night - just the two of us played as the first group out. Lots of ladies did the red white and blue theme and a cute league photo as proof. Mediocre scores but lots of fun!
