Golf Is Therapy

Sometimes all the therapy you need is to play golf with a good friend.

It was nice to get out on Masters Sunday afternoon to play 9. My game is very rusty. For these first few rounds of the season I don’t even keep score. I just try to see what happens - notice what works well and what I need to work on going forward. Giving myself grace is the best strategy so I don’t become frustrated.

So the positives were that my putting was pretty decent and I had some nice pitching wedge and sand wedge shots. I was really happy with those pieces. On the other hand my drives were very inconsistent. My drives are super average for a woman - I am ecstatic when I hit it 150 yards. Last year in the start of the season my drives were my focus for improving and it looks like it will be drives again this season. Oh well, at least I’m consistent.

Green Tartan skirt for Masters Sunday

It was great to be out in the sunshine, although it was windier than I expected. Laura and I chatted and caught up between checking the leaderboard for the Masters. We got home in plenty of time to see Scottie wrap up his win on the last few holes. :-)
