Red white & blue

Monday July 1 - we had a red white and blue theme for the July 4 holiday of course! Played the front nine. It was a hot one.

We had the first tee time today. As per usual, especially when we have cute outfits or theme day, we take a first tee photo.

Me and Char on the first tee

I wore the new Smoke Show Golf Co sleeveless polo that I got recently - couldn’t resist buying that whenI saw it come out because it’s a beautiful blue color and has the queen bees on it. Paired it with a red pleated golf skort from Tail Activewear.

Broke down and got a new ball marker & hat clip. I need to have the ball marker on my visor. It is hard for me to manage a ball marker in my pocket. I always feel like I’m going to lose it. How do you prefer to carry your ball marker?

I did not play my best - scored a 55 overall, with one bogie and mostly double bogies. I am going for a golf lesson on Tuesday and I want to focus on making sure I know what to do when the ball is above my feet, below my feet or when I am hitting on an incline or decline. Even when my drives are good, I always seem to get into trouble on an incline somehow and I just never know what to do to make sure I execute the shot as I want it to go. I’m going to Grizzly to meet with Marianne Morris for a lesson.

Walking off the tee box all smiles after hitting a great drive on hole #5

Since we were the first tee time and there were only two of us, we played pretty fast. We waited a while at the patio but after eating our turkey wraps we were ready to head out. Missed the group photo but here is everyone looking snappy:

Unfortunately Char and I left before the group photo but this is such a cute pic! Everyone is looking sharp in their stars & stripes.
